YumDeal LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the YumDeal mobile application and the website at yumdeal.net (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name via Firebase Authentication. You may also sign in with Google, in which case we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.

Contact form: If you reach out through our Contact Us form, we collect your name, email address, and message content.

Saved addresses: Addresses you save for quick access are stored in our database. You can delete saved addresses at any time.

b) Information Collected Automatically

Location data: With your permission, we access your device's GPS coordinates to show nearby restaurant deals. You can deny location access and manually enter an address instead. We do not track your location in the background.

Usage events: We log anonymous interaction events (e.g., address searches, deal taps, platform selections, deal reports) to improve the Service. Events are tied to a random session identifier, not to your personal identity.

Device tokens: If you enable push notifications, we store your Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token to send you deal alerts. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

Guest sessions: If you use the app without creating an account, we generate an anonymous session identifier (HMAC-based) to enable features like favorites and browsing history. This identifier does not contain any personally identifiable information.

c) Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect payment information, health data, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, browsing history outside the Service, or any data from children under 13.

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Anonymous event data is retained for up to 24 months for analytics purposes. Guest session data is retained for up to 12 months of inactivity. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure cloud infrastructure, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
